ลักษณะชุด :

ใส่ชุดยาวๆ กรอมพื้น  ไม่ใส่คอร์เซ็ต ใส่เอวสูงแบบรัดใต้อก  พวกผู้ดีจะใส่ชุดสีขาวตลอด  พวกฐานะต่ำลงมาหน่อยก็จะใส่ชุดสีพาสเทล  ใส่ชุดสีขาวเฉพาะงานเลี้ยง (เพราะเปื้อนง่าย)  ผ้านุ่มๆ บางๆ พริ้วๆ เป็นผ้าฝ้าย  มัสลิน หรือผ้าไหม   มักใส่ผ้าคลุมไหล่หรือถุงมือยาว  ผมสั้น  ใส่หมวก
 
การกำเนิดของ Short Spencer Jacket 1795

เสื้อ แบบนี้เดิมเป็นเสื้อผู้ชายแบบแขนยาว  มีชายข้างหลังยาว ติดยศทหารตามไหล่และเสื้อ  โดยต่อมามีท่านเอิร์ล ชื่อ Spencer เป็นคนไปทะลึ่งตัดชายข้างหลังออก ทำแฟชั่นแบบของตัวเองขึ้นมา  เสื้อก็เลยเรียกชื่อตามท่านเอิร์ลมาตั้งแต่บัดนั้น
แฟชั่นนี้สาวๆ เอามาประยุกต์ใส่กับชุดเอวสูงที่ว่า  ทำจากผ้าไหมหรือขนแกะ ฮิตไปด้วยกันกับชุดพริ้วๆ

 จริงๆ สมัยนั้นเขาไม่ฮิตชุดชั้นในกัน (โอ้ว วาบหวิว O_O) บางคนใส่ชุดแบบพริ้วๆ แบบเดียวกันไว้ข้างในอีกชั้น
ยกเว้นคนที่หุ่นไม่เอื้ออำนวยก็จะใส่เสตย์แบบในภาพ  ส่วนใหญ่เป็นสีเนื้อ ซึ่งทำให้ดูไม่ออกว่าใส่ชั้นในหรือเปล่า

ยุคโรแมนติก  (1815-1840)

 เหตุการณ์:  หลังสงครามผ่านพ้น คนก็หันมาบ้าการแต่งกายแบบอังกฤษจ๋า (เรียกอีกอย่างว่า แองโกลมาเนีย Anglomania)  ศิลปินและนักปราชญ์ต่างหันมาบ้าศิลปะโรแมนติก รู้ๆ กันว่าศิลปะแนวนี้เน้นอารมณ์ความรู้สึก  ยุคนี้ผู้หญิงถูกเน้นให้เห็นว่าเป็นเพศที่อ่อนแอกว่า และสวยงามชอบการแต่งตัว
ลักษณะชุด : "ฟูฟ่องตั้งแต่หัวจรดเท้า "

ชุดยุคนี้ มีลักษณะพิเศษคือไหล่ลู่ลง เอวคอด ผายออกที่สะโพกเพื่อเน้นความเป็นสตรีเพศ
จะเห็นว่าเดรสแบบเดิมถูกแต่งเติมให้เว่อร์ขึ้นเรื่อยๆ  เอวสูงค่อยๆ ต่ำลงมาอยู่ที่เอวปกติ  รัดติ้วด้วยคอร์เซ็ตสุดโหด  กระโปรงค่อยๆ พองขึ้นแบบอลังการ ตกแต่งประดับประดาหรูหรา 

ที่เห็นได้ชัดน่าจะเป็นแฟชั่นทรงผมและหมวก ใหญ่โต แบบขนดอกไม้มาทั้งสวน

ทรงฮิตยุคโรแมนติกคืออันนี้  เรียกว่า Apollo knot 
เอิ่มมม ไม่รู้ต้องรดน้ำพรวนดิน ใส่ปุ๋ยมั้ย ?
 
 


ยุควิคตอเรียนตอนต้น (1840-1870) 
 เหตุการณ์:  ปี 1837 พระราชินีวิคตอเรียขึ้นครองราชย์  มีลูกเก้าคน  เธอเป็นต้นแบบของผู้หญิงแบบถ่อมตน  อุทิศตนเพื่อครอบครัว  ยึดมั่นในศีลธรรม รสนิยมเธอเป็นแรงบันดาลใจให้สาวๆ ยุคนั้นแต่งตัวตาม
ลักษณะชุด : 

ชุดยุคนี้เป็นอะไรที่น่ารัก  จึงไม่แปลกที่หลายๆ คนจะชอบ และนำมาประยุกต์กับการแต่งตัว  คอสเพลย์แนวโลลิต้าก็มาจากยุคนี้ด้วย  ลักษณะไหล่แคบและลู่ลง  ลำตัวแคบมากด้วยการรัดคอร์เซ็ต กระโปรงบานพอควร  ยาวกรอมพื้น  และค่อยๆ พองขึ้นเรื่อยๆ ตามยุคสมัยที่ผ่านไป
 
สมัยนั้นต้องใส่กระโปรงถึงหกชั้นเพื่อให้มันบาน  เป็นปัญหาทำให้ชุดหนักเกินไป  เลยเริ่มมีคนคิดแก้ปัญหาโดยการใส่สุ่ม (มีชื่อเรียกว่า Cage Crinoline) 




หมวกใหญ่ๆ หายไป  ยุคนี้นิยมใส่หมวกแบบ deep bonnets  ซึ่งเป็นหมวกปกปิดหน้า จะมองเห็นหน้าเต็มเมื่อหันหน้าเข้าหากันตรงๆ เท่านั้น   เป็นการแสดงถึงความถ่อมตัว

เนื่องจากชุดแบบนี้มีการรัดคอร์เซ็ต  ทำให้ผู้หญิงทำอะไรไม่สะดวก(เลย) คิดดู เอวก็กิ่ว  กระโปรงก็บานจะก้มจะเงยอะไรก็ไม่ได้  เลยมีชาวอเมริกันคนนึงชื่อ Mrs.Bloomers คิดชุด Bloomers ขึ้นมา  ลักษณะเป็นกางเกงชั้นในแบบขายาวพองๆ    Mrs.Bloomers ซึ่งเป็นแฟมินิสต์พยายามชวนคนให้มาใส่ชุดนี้  แต่ก็ไม่ฮิต  ใส่กันในหมู่เด็กๆ เท่านั้นค่ะ
 

ยุควิคตอเรียนตอนปลาย  (1870-1890)

เหตุการณ์:  พระราชินีวิคตอเรีย สามีตาย (สวรรคต? สิ้นชีพ? เอาเป็นว่าตายอ่ะจ้ะ) เธอเลยเก็บตัวและใส่แต่ชุดดำ  สีดำ เลย"อิน" ขึ้นมาบ้าง ในช่วงนั้น

ลักษณะชุด : 

รูปทรงของชุดเริ่มเน้นสัดส่วน  แต่ก็ปกปิดร่างกายในเวลาเดียวกัน จะเห็นว่าช่วงบนเข้ารูปมากขึ้น สีเข้มมาแรง


มีการเปลี่ยนแปลงจาก สุ่ม  มาใส่ "ที่ถ่างกระโปรง" ( bustle)  ลักษณะเหมือนกระโปรงของตัวอิจฉาในซินเดอเรลล่าค่ะ  ทำให้กระโปรงจะไม่กางรอบด้านเหมือนแบบเดิม  แต่จะถูกดันไปด้านหลังแทน
ช่วงแรกเป็นแบบ soft bustle ใส่แล้วก็พองๆ  น่ารักดี  ช่วงหลังหันมานิยม hard bustle ใส่แล้วเหมือนม้าเดินมากกว่าคน (ฮา)
